Downtown Blacksburg to Host New Summer Outdoor Music Event, Thursdays After 5

Proceeds go to local non-profit, Key West Band to Kick-off

Blacksburg, Va -  A new non-profit agency with the help of the Town of Blacksburg and the Downtown Merchants of Blacksburg is proud to announce that a summertime music and social event, Thursdays After 5 , is coming to Downtown Blacksburg.  The purpose of this new, festive event is to create an opportunity for the professionals (ages 21 and older) to come out and enjoy Downtown Blacksburg during the summer months. Thursdays After 5 will feature a different live band at each event and will be located on the corner of

Draper Road

and

Jackson Street

(above Burruss Square Tavern). Best of all, proceeds go to benefit a local youth service charity.   The popular Roanoke-based band,

Key West

, is scheduled to play at the kick-off event on June 1st.
