People and the Competitive Advantage of Place: Building a Workforce for the 21st Century by Shari Garmise is an outstanding read on the concept of people economic development. Garmise goes into great detail outlining the existing entities of workforce development, offering a plethora of findings from research studies, and closes with recommendations and conclusions. 

Now that college graduations and summers are upon us, I find it very interesting what ROCS is doing to match the college student population to the business community.
