Jefferson College of Health Sciencesis often overlooked in the region as an institution of higher education, yet it is an integral part of shaping this region’s future. With nearly 1000 students and plans to continue its enrollment growth, the base offers educational training in one of the hottest job sectors - health care.  Coupled with the increased demand for health care services and the new plans for the Carilion/Virginia Tech medical school, Jefferson College will be instrumental in shaping the educational and workforce opportunities for young adults. We are amazed at the number of people in the Roanoke Connect database who want to work for institutioans of higher education.
