Due to the response from the Holiday Career and Lifestyle Fair in December, the City of Roanoke is having a Spring version on Wednesday, March 4 from 9-12 noon sponsored by WDBJ7, The Renick Group and Express Employment Professionals. For more info, go to www.roanokeva.gov/fairs

Traditional and new media outlets have been very kind to the Roanoke CCLP. As a result, we currently have 56 applicants. Our goal is 100 by February 23. At that time, we will select the 30 creative connectors, but all who apply will participate at some point in the process. See who has been talking and read those with links. A blog can help in so many ways, we cannot even get into it now, but the opportunities are limitless. Have you seen Twitter take off? Yes, this is a micro-blog. All people reading this blog who may or may not have a blog of their own please persuade someone to start reading or writing a blog.

Today, on WDBJ7 Morning Show with Bob Grebe, we promoted Richard Florida’s Creative Community Leadership Program. Roanoke in addition to Bloomington, IL and Vancouver are the three cities in 2009 that will be going through a CCLP.  The program calls to engage 30 “creative connectors”.
