The Virginia Department of Business Assistance Entrepreneurship Express Workshop will be held at Virginia Western’s Whitman Auditorium on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Nearly 200 people have pre-registered for the event. The City of Roanoke has engaged the Creative Class Group for a year-long project to transform the community. The project calls for 30 creative connectors to participate in a 2-day workshop and all who apply to participate at a later time. The outcome of the project is to create sustainable projects around Richard Florida’s 4Ts of economic development – technology, talent, tolerance and territory assets.
