A colleague sent this blog post about reinventing yourself during this tough economic time. Like others, I have been inundated with requests to assist in job searching (on average about 8-10 unique persons a day). One thing is clear there is a new paradigm being created as you manager your job search and long-term career. Here is how we see the mix:

The new job/career paradigm has people working more than one job, obtaining multiple revenue streams while also taking a class at a community college to get some new billable skill and starting a business (internet, home-based, real estate, ebay, etc.). This mix moves people from John Doe Employee at Company X to John Doe Inc. Contract for Hire. People must now look at themselves as branding their micro-business and that business is me,myself and I.
