I'll paraphrase Harry Pickens when he visited Roanoke a couple of months ago

and was asked about changing the status quo- He responded that the best approach is to create an alternative which is so compelling that the status quo fades away.

If we can harness and integrate the best of web-based “grassroots” media with the best practices of traditional media, it can be a powerful force to unite not only the region, but more importantly, connect with the rest of the world.
