FindYourSpot.com is one of the more creative sites I have seen in helping a person select regions to relocate. They ask you a series of questions and then produce a couple dozen places for consideration. I found out about this site because I had one person reference it when submitting a profile at another site.

Would like to live in a cool area with trees/a view, maybe a stream, lake, or ocean.
