Rockford IL has created a YP group called Boomerrangers and they will be hosting series of events to attract native sons and daughters to return home after college. They are planning a Thanksgiving weekend of event, similar to Buffalo’s Old Home Week.

Roanoke has its own event on December 28 – the 2nd Annual Holiday Career and Lifestyle Fair. Last year’s event brought out over 800 people in a 5-hour timeframe. It received numerous exposures and produced more than several success stories.

This year’s event will be at the Roanoke Civic Center in accordance with a video gaming event (Dec 28-30) at the new special events center at the civic center. More on this video gaming event will be forthcoming.
